1930	.	1930 Kato Rokugiro Shoten was originally founded in Japan to manufacture frames for glasses.
1951	.	Renamed Carton Optical Industries Ltd., the company started distributing microscopes in the domestic and international markets
1964	.	The first production plant was built in Saitama in Japan to produce microscopes and telescopes The second plant was developed in Nagano to manufacture a wide range of lens, to meet the needs of the company's first plant.
1984	.	In response to the demands of the fast-growing optics industry, the third plant was also established in lwate to produce many different types of microscope.
1988	.	Granted BOI Promotional privileges, Carton Optical (Siam) Co.,Ltd. was established in Thailand to manufacture exceptional quality biological and stereo microscopes, magnifiers and optical accessories. The company is now Thailand's only microscope manufacturer and distributor.
